Performance Transformation
Conversion to static delivery and targeted optimisation for large, measurable speed gains.
Pages take seconds to load, visitors leave before reading anything, and hosting costs keep rising.
WordPress and CMS sites where content is fine but delivery is slow and expensive.
Performance work is unusual in that the improvement is measurable and immediate. Pages that took four seconds to render take a fraction of that, and the effect on bounce rate is usually visible within weeks.
What this covers
Audit first. We measure before changing anything. Real timings, from real locations, on real connections — not a lab score that flatters the site but means little to a visitor on mobile data.
WordPress to static conversion. Our most requested engagement. A WordPress site is generated fresh on every request: PHP executes, the database is queried, and the result is assembled from scratch each time. For a site whose content changes weekly, that is enormous waste.
We export the content, rebuild it as static pages, and serve plain files. The visual result is identical; the delivery is fundamentally cheaper.
Asset optimisation. Images at appropriate sizes, fonts subset and preloaded, scripts deferred, and everything that can be cached cached properly.
Hosting cost reduction. Static files are cheap to serve and can sit on a CDN with generous limits. A site that cost a monthly VPS can often run on a free or near-free tier.
Typical results
- Load times improved by roughly an order of magnitude
- Hosting costs reduced substantially, often by two thirds or more
- Attack surface reduced, because there is no database or admin login to exploit
Those figures are typical rather than guaranteed. The audit gives you the real numbers for your site before any work begins.
What you keep
- The existing design, unchanged unless you want otherwise
- Your content, migrated
- A way to publish new content — either a CMS the static build pulls from, or a markdown workflow
What you lose
The WordPress admin, along with the plugins, updates and vulnerabilities that come with it. For most brochure and content sites this is a benefit. If your site genuinely needs server-side behaviour — logged-in areas, live data — we will say so and propose something else.
